Life is full of chaos. There’s no way to avoid it, which is truly difficult to accept for someone with a Type A personality. I like things to stick to a plan and no matter how hard I try, when things start to go awry, I stress.
I found these awesome paint tools and could not wait to test them out with Moose and Fox. Last Friday, I gathered our paints, paint tools, some white poster board, and clothes pins to hang our “canvases” and gathered the troops to head outside.

I was recently in a group of people where we introduced ourselves and shared what we did. As we went around the circle, it struck me how many women announced they didn’t do anything; they were just a stay at home mom.
It made me think of the value (or lack thereof) our society puts on a stay at home parent. Through the course of the day, a stay at home parent wears many hats. We become cooks, house cleaners, play mates, boo boo fixers, and, in some cases, referees.

I have wrestled with the thought of putting this journey down in written form for a while. My personal insecurities tell me that it’s insignificant and can’t/ won’t affect other people. But my heart tells me there could be someone else riding a similar path and this could be a difference maker. A few days ago, I was doing my morning devotional and came across this verse:
“We have this treasure in jars of clay
to show that this all-surpassing power is from
God and not from us” 2 Corinthians 4:7 NIV
How much more clearly did God have to tell me to share my story?! And sooo…
